1: 4135 Steel Introduction
4135 has high static strength, impact toughness and high fatigue limit, hardenability is higher than 40Cr. High creep strength and rupture strength at high temperature, long term working temperature up to 500ºC, medium ductility and poor weldability at cold deformation.

The mechanical properties mainly include tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, area or reduction, hardness, impact value, non-metalic inclusion etc. Different heat treatment, the mechanical properties will be different, such as normalized, tempered, QT. 6. Heat Treatment
Annealing:Slowly heated to 850 ºC and allow enough times, let the steel to be thoroughly heated, Then cool slowly in the furnace to 480 ºC follow by air cool. The 4135 alloy steel will get MAX 250 HB.
Quenched:850ºC, oil cooled.
Tempering:550ºC, water cooled, oil cooled.
7: Delivery Condition
For hot forged bar, usually the delivery condition is hot forged, annealed/QT, rough turned/Black surface.
For hot rolled bar, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed/QT, Black surface.
For hot forged block, usually the delivery condition is hot forged, annealed/QT, milled surface/Black surface
For hot rolled plate, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed/QT, black surface.
For cold drawn bar, usually the delivery condition is cold drawn, annealed/QT, peeled/black surface
