1: 301 steel introduction
Type 301 is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel. This alloy is non-magnetic in the annealed condition, but becomes magnetic when cold worked. Within the scope of ASTM type 301 specification, chemical composition and processing modifications can result in a wide range of engineered material properties targeted at specific applications. Type 301 is available in the annealed as well as a variety of temper-rolled conditions.

6: Delivery condition
For hot forged bar, usually the delivery condition is hot forged, annealed/solid solution, rough turned/Black surface.
For hot rolled bar, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed/solid solution, Black surface.
For hot rolled plate, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled, annealed/solid solution, black surface.
For cold drawn bar, usually the delivery condition is cold drawn, annealed/QT, peeled/black surface
